Picture this: A breezy May-day on the 18 Green in Sea Pines for a 5 o’clock ceremony that transitions into dancing the night away in the Champions Ballroom. Reflecting back, we absolutely LOVED this wedding and by sharing the details we hope it gives you a little inspiration! So join us for a brief recap of this day we SO enjoyed!
Let’s start with the bridal flowers. For our bride, a classic bouquet of blush roses with an white ribbon wrap. (Elegant, am I right?) And for her bridesmaids, bouquets consisting of soft pink roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus, and a touch of lizzianthis finished with a white ribbon wrap. Thesesoft pink and white bouquets really popped against the long navy bridesmaids dresses and really complemented the ceremony arbor. I would go so far as to say for this venue, an arbor is a must! Yes, the view of the harbor a Harbor Town is to die for, and the lawn is pristine, but the arbor embellished with complementing flowers adds so much to the essence of the ceremony. Not to mention the arbor gives the ceremony a more intimate feel that instantly draws the guests eye towards the front. We love working with a bride to think of creative flowers and abstract greenery to place on the arbor, so it is a detail to remember about the ceremony but not a distraction!
The Champions Ballroom is a great reception venue, in that the ballroom can be transformed to fit your vision. Every wedding done here is so unique because the room itself is beautiful but not over-powering. For this particular wedding, we did a mixture of three arrangement types (pictured below) so the room had visual variety. The centerpieces ranged from elevated arrangements atop contemporary glassware filled with orchids to square vases packed with soft pink roses, hydrangeas, and greenery to a sleek-looking candlestick whose base was surrounded by a ring of complementing flowers. The three heights and differing styes of arrangement all added to the overall whimsical and light feel of the evening. Reminiscing on weddings past makes us overwhelmingly excited to see what the wedding-world future holds. We love what we do!
